Question Description

Prepare a 5-minute informative speech on hydroponic cultivation. The purpose of this speech is to inform — not to persuade— an audience. That means your language must be objective, with no judgment words.

Use at least two credible sources to which you can refer during your speech. Purdue Owl has an excellent summary on using credible sources (Links to an external site.)NOTECredible does not necessarily mean objective. (That’s your job.) For example, NASA is a credible source for information about rocket science and at the same time a strong advocate for space travel, as well as Earth science in general.

Organize the speech with an effective introduction, body, and conclusion. As discussed in the lecture on science communication, the introduction should use an interest-approach featuring the “bottom line,” or main conclusion, of your speech as well as previewing the three main points. The body should elaborate on the three main points with supporting information from credible sources. The conclusion should include a memorable takeaway.

In MS Word compose a concise outline of your speech. (attached an example)
