Budget Proposals
After watching the budget webinar, reading about President Trump’s budget, and viewing the webinar on where our tax dollars go,
- Discuss the differences between the budget proposals presented (President Trump’s budget, house, senate, progressive caucus.)
- How do budget priorities reveal differing values and ideological perspectives (collectivist vs. individualist) among these groups? Please explain what you mean.
- What was the most surprising, interesting, or frustrating thing that you learned with regards to where our tax dollars go?
- What would you change or propose for an increases or decreases in the budget?

(KEEP in mind that this is from the prior year and the President’s Budget was President Obama’s budget proposal). President Trump’s budget proposal is at the NY Times reading above. The other proposals are still relevant (House, Senate, and Congressional Progressive Caucus) as these have not changed very much.
