Question 1: Autotransformer  Given a conventional single phase transformer is converted to an step up autotransformer. a) Draw the step up autotransformer diagram with all necessary parameters labeled.
b) If three single phase autotransformer of this kind are connected in Y – Y connection, as to handle 3000kVA from a 13kV distribution line to a 15kV distribution line, calculate the apparent power that must the windings of each autotransformer can handle.
c) Compare the apparent power calculated in (b) with the per phase apparent power. Are they equal? If not, where the rest of power goes? Justify your answer by showing how the rest of power being calculated.
d) Now if one of the autotransformer wants to reconnect back as an conventional transformer, calculate its voltages, currents and apparent power ratings.
