A few years ago, I used to work for a certain company that emphasized team work/group relationships and helping/improving their employee’s abilities. The company offered us many means of improving ourselves through volunteer activities and extra training with no added cost. They also provided us with certain group activities to help strengthen our group bonds. In my opinion, I believe that this has helped us develop as a team and improve our abilities together. The only downside to this was that many of the current employees decided to leave when they felt they could no longer learn anything new from them so turnover rate was quite high and new employees always came in. The organizational climate was quite positive since almost every employee was motivated to improve their performance and go beyond their job expectations. I have learned a lot from that company and I still use these skills today. I believe that companies should make sure that every employee feels valued because it can affect the workplace climate. Companies should invest in their employees if they want to see a positive outcome. In my opinion, if employees feel like they are important, they are more willing to learn and exceed job expectations.
